ICPAK Northern Branch CSR Project

On 15th January 2026, ICPAK (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya) Northern Branch, successfully conducted #CSR Project Handover at Wajir Special School for the Deaf.

The handover was presided over by the ICPAK Chairman, Prof. CPA Elizabeth Kalunda Muvui, alongside the ICPAK Council Member and Devolution Committee Co-Convener,CPA Wycliff Bichang’a, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Finance, Wajir County, CPA Mohamed Hassan Hussein and the Chairman of ICPAK Northern Branch,CPA Unshur Junior, The CSR intervention involved the donation of 70 metallic double-decker beds, 70 mattresses, beddings, 70 Mosquito nets and assorted food items, aimed at improving the boarding facilities, dignity, and overall welfare of learners with special needs. The handover ceremony also featured a tree planting session within the school compound, underscoring ICPAK’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.

Also present during the handover were key stakeholders, including the ICPAK Wajir County Representative, CPA Abdullahi Mohamed, The ICPAK Northern Branch Administrator Ms Ladhan Abdi and other ICPAK members. The engagement underscored strong collaboration between ICPAK leadership and the County Government in advancing inclusive social development initiatives in Wajir County.

As part of the visit, the ICPAK leadership team held a stakeholder engagement meeting with the Wajir County Secretary, Mr. Hillow Issack Mumin. The meeting was attended by the CECM Finance, CPA Mohamed Hassan Hussein, the CECM Water Services, Hon. Issa Garore, and the Chief Officer – Finance, Mr. Yahya Dahiye. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships, promoting good governance, and enhancing public financial management at the county level.

Later in the afternoon, the ICPAK delegation, alongside the Wajir County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Finance, CPA Mohamed Hassan Hussein, paid a courtesy call to the Speaker of the County Assembly of Wajir, Hon Abdille Yussuf, and the Clerk of the County Assembly, Mr. Shalle Sheikh. The visit was attended by CPA Abdullahi Ahmed, Director of Finance – County Assembly of Wajir, CPA Abdullahi Mohamed, Deputy Director of Finance – County Assembly of Wajir, and other ICPAK members serving in the County Assembly. The courtesy call reaffirmed ICPAK’s commitment to supporting legislative institutions through professional engagement, ethical leadership, and capacity building.
