4th – 5th July 2024, The Institute collaborated with the County Government of Kwale to host a two-day workshop aimed at providing training for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the county.
MSMEs play a vital role in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, creating job opportunities, and promoting inclusive development. Despite their significance, MSMEs often encounter various challenges such as limited access to funding, inadequate infrastructure, regulatory obstacles, lack of market intelligence, and skills deficiencies.
The workshop sessions covered a diverse range of topics including financial management, marketing strategies, digital transformation, market access, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business practices.
The top leadership of the County Government was well represented at the event, with Her Excellency the Governor Ms. Fatuma Achani, Deputy Governor His Excellency Chimera Kombo, several County Executive Committee Members (CECMs), and Chief Officers in attendance. Our ICPAK team was led by Chairman CPA Philip Kakai, yours truly as council member and Coast Branch leadership among them Chairman FCPA Farheen.
We shall surely be monitoring and evaluating this potentially successful story.
